Squire Patton Boggs sued U.S. Secretary for Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra Monday in New Jersey District Court on behalf of a group of New Jersey non-profit hospitals. The suit challenges Medicare reimbursement determinations for extraordinarily costly cases under the department's outlier payment program. The case is 2:21-cv-12233, Hackensack University Medical Center et al v. Becerra.
