Counsel at Seyfarth Shaw on Thursday removed a lawsuit against Altice USA, a telecommunications company providing network services, and other defendants to New Jersey District Court. The suit was filed by McOmber McOmber & Luber on behalf of a former employee who claims she was fired in retaliation for reporting her concerns about the company's lack of COVID-19 safety protocols in the workplace, as well as for taking medical leave in order to avoid contracting the virus. The case is 2:21-cv-12718, Butfiloski v. Altice USA et al.
