With vaccination rates increasing and COVID cases, hospitalizations and deaths declining, we are at last on the road to normalcy, or at least a new normal. Most restrictions in the state have been lifted. Upon verification of vaccination, masks are not required in workplaces. In-person jury trials have resumed with success in state and federal courts. Governmental and private employers are calling employees back to the office.

But what that office will look like look and how court proceedings will be conducted remains to be seen. From the wreckage of the pandemic it seems to us that there are at least a few lessons that can be learned, both about how we work and how our court systems administer justice.
