A New Jersey lawyer is facing an ethics inquiry after engaging in what judges said was an “unprofessional diatribe” and “obstreperous conduct” in a courtroom where he lost a foreclosure case.

Waldwick attorney David Cubby repeatedly interrupted a superior court judge who was rendering a decision in the case, demanded that the judge substantiate his findings and called the judge’s ruling “extrajudicial,” the Appellate Division said in Bascom Corp. v. Paterson Coalition for Housing.
