Our attention was drawn to a small section, eight, of the second part of the New Jersey Supreme Court’s Aug. 25 “Action Plan for Ensuring Equal Justice.” Titled “Modernizing aspects of court access and records to align with new technologies and remote operations,” section eight vows to build on efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic to use remote hearings and computer records access and interaction.

What, you may ask, does increasing the court’s use of technology have to do with equal justice?
