A man who was thrown from his motorcycle in a three-vehicle crash accepted payment of a $1.225 million settlement in his Union County suit, Correia v. Casale, on July 30.

Justino Correia was riding his motorcycle northbound on North Avenue in Union on Aug. 27, 2016, when a northbound car driven by Anthony C. Casale attempted to make a U-turn from the right lane of the four-lane road. Casale’s car was struck from behind by another northbound vehicle driven by Robert Ceceri. Ceceri’s car was, in turn, struck from behind by Correia’s motorcycle, ejecting him about eight feet, said his lawyer, Michael Gallardo of Ginarte Gallardo Gonzalez & Winograd in Newark.
