The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission sued Gregory A. Ciccone and Platinum Travel and Entertainment Wednesday in New Jersey District Court for allegedly defrauding investors of over $1.5 million. The complaint, which names Platinum Enterprises & Concierge Services as relief defendant, accuses Ciccone of engaging in a Ponzi scheme in which he misrepresented to investors that they were funding a luxury travel enterprise. Attorneys have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:21-cv-17768, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission v. Ciccone et al.
