Across the country, from New Jersey to Nevada, pandemic lockdowns are hopefully a thing of the past as restrictions continue to ease, however slowly, gradually and cautiously. Vaccine distribution continues; schools and businesses are open. Social distancing and masks have become almost a habit. And Atlantic City is livelier than a year ago. 

To be sure, the new “normal” looks a bit different from the old. Many pandemic-prevention practices that became routine during the past year probably won’t soon go away. Health officials urge continued adherence to simple, common-sense practices such as personal hygiene, to limit risks to ourselves and others. Public health experts’ advice continues to affect—significantly—day to day operations and precautions for sports betting and gaming operators.
