Amid the cooking tutorials and Pink Panther cartoons on YouTube is a video showing Edward Capozzi addressing a roomful of lawyers on how to demonstrate causation in auto injury litigation. His presentation tells how to fight defense counsel's assertions that a plaintiff's back injuries are caused by degenerative disk disease and not a car crash.

For Capozzi, chairman of the personal injury practice at Brach Eichler in Roseland, and immediate past president of the New Jersey Association for Justice, battling insurance companies is central to advocating for his clients in catastrophic injury and wrongful death suits. A graduate of Rutgers-Camden School of Law, Capozzi's passion for client advocacy took root during an internship with the Gloucester County Public Defender's Office and a clerkship with the firm now known as Levy Baldante Finney & Rubenstein, where he learned about medical malpractice law.
