German automaker Volkswagen was hit with a class action lawsuit Friday in New Jersey District Court over alleged defects in certain Volkswagen Atlas models. The lawsuit was filed by Seeger Weiss; Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro; and Carella, Byrne, Cecchi, Olstein, Brody & Agnello over claims that the Atlas' seat latches are defective and pose a safety hazard. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:21-cv-18755, Tijerina et al v. Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft et al.
