Automaker FCA US and parent company Stellantis N.V. were hit with a consumer class action Wednesday in New Jersey District Court. The suit, filed by LeVan Muhic Stapleton; KO Lawyers and Kaliel Gold, accuses the defendants of adding inflated 'destination charges' to the sales prices of new Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep and Fiat vehicles. According to the suit, the fees are deceptive because they include substantial profit have little correlation to the cost of delivering vehicles to dealerships. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:21-cv-19364, Enright v. FCA US LLC et al.
