A 45-year-old woman who suffered serious neck and back injuries in a vehicle crash received court approval for a $1.1 million insurance settlement in a Union County personal injury suit, Spencer v. White.

Jourdan Spencer was driving her vehicle in Scotch Plains on Oct. 3, 2017, when another driver, Kaleigh White, struck Spencer’s vehicle after failing to stop at a stop sign. Spencer’s car then struck a utility pole, and she sustained multiple disc herniations at L5-S1, T12-L1, and C4 through C7, according to Stacey Ryan of Ventura Miesowitz Keough & Warner in Summit, who represented Spencer along with Michael Ventura of the same firm.
