A New Jersey adult entertainment venue featuring nude dancers has been accused in a collective action lawsuit of failing to pay the minimum wage to its entertainers.

Club 35 in Sayreville is accused in the suit of unlawfully demanding a cut of workers’ earnings, wrongly classifying entertainers and waitresses as independent contractors and unlawfully deducting fines for lateness and misconduct from employee wages. Filed Thursday in U.S. District Court in Trenton, the suit raises claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and under New Jersey’s Minimum Wage Act and Wage Payment Collection Law.
