Risa Chalfin joined Norris McLaughlin in July after nearly eight years at Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer. She handles a variety of business and commercial litigation, including disputes involving fiduciary duties, shareholder disputes, fraud, estate and probate litigation, real estate disputes, trade secrets and construction law.

Chalfin received her law degree from Brooklyn Law School and her bacherlor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania. While attending law school, Chalfin interned for New Jersey Supreme Court Justice Barry Albin. And in 2011 and 2012, she served as a law clerk to Judge Glenn Berman of Middlesex County Superior Court. During her term, Berman presided over the highly publicized State v. Ravi trial, in which a Rutgers University student was convicted of bias intimidation, invasion of privacy and other crimes in connection with the cyberbullying of his gay roommate.
