A Brick Township man and his wife agreed to settle their Ocean County lawsuit, Topinka v. Estate of Horan, following a 2015 motor vehicle collision for $1.125 million. The case concluded on Oct. 20.

Charles Topkina was operating his 2001 Honda Accord on Bridge Avenue in Point Pleasant on Feb. 28, 2015, when his vehicle was struck on the driver’s side by the defendant, John P. Horan, after Horan lost control of his 1996 Honda Accord, said James A. Maggs of Maggs McDermott & DiCicco in Wall Township, counsel to the plaintiffs.
