Civil RightsFox Rothschild and Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer filed a civil rights lawsuit Monday in New Jersey District Court on behalf of commercial property owner KJD. The suit alleges that Galloway Township issued stop construction orders on KJD's property in order to prevent ethic minority students from Atlantic City and Pleasantville from attending school in Galloway Township. According to the suit, KJD spent approximately $1.6 million in constructing the school to welcome students on January 4, 2022. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:21-cv-20486, Kjd, LLC v. Galloway Township et al.
