Although her Supreme Court nomination has been blocked under senatorial courtesy, Rachel Wainer Apter might still take a seat on the high court under a package deal being discussed in Trenton.

Holly Schepisi, the Republican legislator from Bergen County who blocked Apter’s nomination, said she is in talks with Gov. Phil Murphy’s office about a deal encompassing Apter and the next Supreme Court nominee.
