New Jersey's acting administrative director of the courts, Glenn Grant, has put off drawing a pension after state legislators adopted a special measure exempting him from the Judicial Retirement System's mandatory retirement age of 70.

Grant, who has been acting administrative director of the courts since 2008, can stay on the job after S4098 was passed by a 37-0 Senate vote Monday, and signed by Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday. The General Assembly adopted the measure by a margin of 76-1 on Dec. 2.
