Employment law leader Randi Kochman has been elected by the shareholders of Cole Schotz to lead the New Jersey-founded firm for a four-year term, as co-managing shareholder Michael Sirota passes on the reins after more than two decades at the helm.

Firm leaders said in a statement Wednesday that Sirota declined to seek reelection for another term in a strategic move to transition management responsibilities to the next generation of leadership. Sirota plans to remain on the firm’s management committee in an emeritus role.
