Norris McLaughlin brought on  Risa M. Chalfin, previously with Wilentz, Goldman & Spitzer, as a partner in the litigation practice group in Bridgewater. "Risa makes a great addition to our team. We are lucky to have her and look forward to seeing her excel here at Norris McLaughlin," said Margaret Raymond-Flood, co-chair of the litigation practice group, in a statement. Chalfin said in a statement: "Joining Norris McLaughlin is an exciting step in my career." She is an experienced trial attorney focusing on complex commercial litigation matters, including partnership and shareholder disputes. At the Wilentz firm, she was a member of the political contributions committee, advising members and clients on the implications of contributions according to local and state laws. Before that she clerked for New Jersey Superior Court Judge Glenn Berman. Chalfin is a trustee of Trial Attorneys of New Jersey, serves on the general council of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and is an editor of the New Jersey State Bar Foundation's "Legal Eagle." She also is on the Middlesex County Bar Associaiton's Chancery Practice Committee. Chalfin often speaks for CLE seminars sponsored by those organizations. She received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2011 and her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008.

department. He previously worked for served 25 years as vice president and real estate counsel of Bed Bath & Beyond, which has more than 1,000 stores and warehouses throughout the U.S. and Canada. Freeman has extensive experience in office, retail and industrial leasing transactions, acquisitions and dispositions, mortgage and public financing, as well as property development matters, including the negotiation of reciprocal easement agreements, title issues, and architectural and construction contracts, the firm said. Freeman earned his J.D. from New York University Law School (1978), where he was research editor for the Review of Law and Social Change, and his B.A. from Brown University (1975).
