A New Jersey attorney and real estate developer has received an admonition from the state Supreme Court over recordkeeping violations and failure to supervise staff members.

Lawrence S. Berger of Berger & Bornstein in Morristown received a lenient penalty from the court in Wednesday’s order, since the Office of Attorney Ethics said he should receive a reprimand, which is more serious than an admonition, and the Disciplinary Review Board sought a censure, which is even more strict.
