A motorcyclist who sustained multiple broken bones when he collided with an SUV was paid $1.4 million to settle his Hudson County personal injury suit, Klepper v. Carney, on Dec. 20.

According to the suit, Jeremiah Klepper was riding north on Summit Avenue in Franklin Lakes on Sept. 2, 2018, when he was struck by a vehicle headed west on Franklin Avenue that was driven by Anne Carney. Carney failed to stop for a red light at the intersection, causing her to strike Klepper, said his attorney, Joseph Angelo, a solo practitioner in Nutley.
