Toyota Motor was hit with a consumer class action Friday in New Jersey District Court over its 2020 and 2021 Highlanders. The complaint was filed by Saltz Mongeluzzi Barrett & Bendesky and Gustafson Gluek on behalf of Highlander owners and lessees, who contend that the fuel tanks cannot be filled to the advertised capacity. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:22-cv-01682, Prince et al v. Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. et al.
