A man who suffered serious injuries in a road-rage assault was awarded a $1.6 million default judgment against two defendants in Mercer County Superior Court on March 15.

The suit, Lee v. Bizzari Jr., claimed Matthew Lee, then 70, was driving on Route 33 in Hamilton on June 18, 2016, when he pulled into a shopping center parking lot, parked his car and was confronted by Silvio Bizzari Jr. Bizzari said he was driving behind Lee when Lee activated his left turn signal just before making a right turn into the shopping center. According to a police report, Lee told police Bizzari called him a “fucking asshole,” to which he replied, “Go Fuck Yourself.” A witness reported seeing the two men wrestling, when Bizzari lifted up Lee by his legs and threw him to the ground, causing him to strike the back of his head on the pavement, the report said.
