Lindabury, McCormick, Estabrook & Cooper in Westfield promoted Lisa Gingeleskie and Elizabeth Candido Petite to partner. Petite also is a member of the firm's wills, trusts and estates practice group, where she handles estate planning and administration as well as tax law. She has significant experience in state and federal court
proceedings and also assists clients with internal investigations into allegations of harassment and workplace misconduct, the firm said. She provides training for employees and management in employment law and advises on the use of social media to recruit and hire. Outside her practice, Gingeleskie sits on the boards of directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Union County and the Westfield YMCA. At the firm, she is co-chair of Lindabury's Women's Business Initiative program. She holds a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.Petite's practice includes estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney and advance directives for health care. With a specialty in elder law, special needs planning and guardianships, she serves as a panelist for the Union County Probate Early Settlement Panel. Petite is a member of the board of directors of DMF Youth Inc., a program for underserved children, and is an active member of the firm's Women's Business Initiative. She holds a J.D. and a LL.M in Taxation from New York Law School.
Friedman Joins Javerbaum Wurgaft
Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins brought on Jerry Friedman as of counsel in the personal injury law department in Springfield. Friedman focuses on representing injured motorcyclists, including cases arising from motor vehicle collisions, wrongful death, products liability, brain injuries, and claims against governmental entities. Friedman has been involved with the New Jersey motorcycle community for more than 40 years, according to the firm, and served as longtime counsel to the New Jersey Motorcyclists Alliance and ABATE of the Garden State, both statewide motorcycle rights organizations. Friedman is admitted to practice in New Jersey state and federal court. He received a B.A. from the University of Buffalo in 1972 and a J.D. from Rutgers Law School–Camden in 1975. After law school, he clerked for Superior Court Judge Phillip Gruccio. Friedman was an assistant prosecutor in the Camden County Prosecutor's Office from 1976-1977.
