Lawyers at Locke Lord on Monday removed a class action lawsuit against National Collegiate Student Loan Trust and other defendants to New Jersey District Court. The suit, filed by the Kim Law Firm, alleges that the defendants attempted to collect student loan obligations while knowing that they lacked the ability to prove they owned the loans in violation of the New Jersey Consumer Finance Licensing Act. The case is 2:22-cv-02713, Browne v. National Collegiate Student Loan Trust A/K/A National Collegiate Master Student Loan Trust I et al.
