Armstrong Teasdale has landed the former lawyer for New York City’s defense against personal injury claims that stemmed from the 9/11 terrorist attacks to expand the Midwest-based firm’s presence in New Jersey.

James Tyrrell, who joined as a partner in March after parting ways with Newark-based firm Sills Cummis & Gross, said he’s been tasked by firm leadership to grow the Armstrong Teasdale office in the Garden State by developing client relationships and recruiting talent.
