Chief Justice Stuart Rabner addressed the “sustained and growing” number of judicial vacancies both on the state Supreme Court and across the various counties in his recent state of the judiciary remarks at the New Jersey State Bar Convention.

Rabner cited the judicial vacancy numbers at the trial court level—75 out of 433 trial court positions vacant at the time of his May 20 address, the highest vacancy level in the history of the state judiciary.
