Nondisparagement Provision Not Violated by Former Police Sergeant's NBC Interview, Appeals Court Says
The court, however, declined to find the clause unenforceable, noting that 2019 revisions to the Law Against Discrimination restricted nondisclosure agreements but not nondisparagement agreements.

The Neptune Police Department claimed that a former sergeant's interview with NBC following the settlement of her employment discrimination claim, in which she called the department a "good old boys club," violated a nondisparagement provision, but a state appeals court disagreed.
However, the panel stopped short of finding the provision unenforceable.
