The Official Committee of Talc Claimants filed an opening brief on Thursday before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, challenging a Feb. 25 order refusing to dismiss the bankruptcy of LTL Management, a newly created subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson.

A committee representing cancer victims suing Johnson & Johnson told the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit that a bankruptcy judge erred in refusing to dismiss a closely watched Chapter 11 case that "lacks any valid bankruptcy purpose."
