A suit filed in federal court says law firms handling Dr. Pepper Snapple Group’s 2017 acquisition of a New Jersey beverage company concealed documents that gave a former employee of the target company an ownership share.

Kirkland & Ellis, which represented Bai Brands founder Ben Weiss in a lawsuit over Robert Watkins’ ownership interest in the company, “fraudulently concealed” documents sought by Watkins in a 2017 lawsuit, according to a second suit filed by Watkins against Weiss and Dr. Pepper Snapple in the District of New Jersey.
