In a recent decision issued by the Disciplinary Review Board, a Lakewood attorney with no prior disciplinary history in New Jersey stipulated to disciplinary action following a random audit conducted four years ago as part of Office of Attorney Ethics’ Random Audit Compliance Program.

“An attorney trust account is unlike any other bank account,” said Marc Garfinkle, a former trial lawyer whose Morristown practice is now devoted to legal ethics and discipline, bar admission, and judicial misconduct.
