Pashman Stein Walder Hayden announced that partner Jhanice V. Domingo was elected to the board of trustees of the Legal Services of New Jersey, which leads a network of six independent nonprofits providing free legal aid in civil matters. Domingo focuses on family law and litigation. As a former Somerset County assistant prosecutor, she handled domestic violence and juvenile cases and prosecuted contempt of final restraining orders. She is also a court-approved family law mediator and serves as an early settlement panelist and economic mediator. Domingo serves as co-chair of the Family Law Committee of the Bergen County Bar Association. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee and a member of several New Jersey Supreme Court panels. She is also a past president of the National Filipino American Lawyers Association and a past president of the Asian Pacific American Lawyers Association of New Jersey (APALA-NJ). She is currently the chair of APALA-NJ's Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee. "I am thrilled to join the exceptional board of trustees of LSNJ," said Domingo in a statement. "I look forward to helping advance LSNJ's more than 55-year history of ensuring equal access to justice for all New Jersey residents and find ways for LSNJ and Pashman Stein's Justice Gary S. Frier Levitt in Pine Brook announced that Elli Albert, CLM, joined as the firm's first director of administration. In that role, Albert will direct and be responsible for Frier Levitt's human resources, staff management, and oversight of all other administrative departments. She will act as part of the firm's executive team and, as such, will guide and facilitate the firm's strategic initiatives, the firm said. She has worked in legal administration for more than 24 years, most recently as office administrator at Fox Rothschild in Morristown. Albert is an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators and the New Jersey chapter of the assocatoin. She has served in nearly every board officer position for NJALA, including president in 2019-2020, and now serves as an advisor to the NJALA board in her role as past president. Albert passed her Certified Legal Manager (CLM) exam in 2019. The exam is a credential process by which individuals may demonstrate mastery of the core areas of knowledge identified as essential to the effective performance of a principal administrator. Albert is a graduate of Montclair State University and holds a B.A. in English.
