A New York-based attorney has stipulated to discipline by consent with the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics for violating two rules of professional conduct related to his representation of a minor in a family court matter.

According to a November 2021 letter decision issued by the Disciplinary Review Board, attorney Jonathan Lloyd Becker of Cooperstown, New York, was the court-appointed representative of K.B., a 12-year-old girl. K.B. and her mother petitioned a New York family court to modify a visitation order after the girl's father allegedly harassed his daughter on Facebook.
