It’s that time when the year comes to a sudden, almost abrupt conclusion. The holidays are thrust upon us, shorts get put away for a more hopeful time and trees give up old leaves so that new ones can emerge in the spring.

Thanksgiving comes first. Hopefully, it allows a moment to reflect upon those things for which we should be thankful. We’re still here! COVID has loosened its grip upon the way we live. The economy seems to be viable as is our political system, which remains intact after what was a challenging election.
