Gov. Phil Murphy announced the appointment of Matthew Berns to the senior staff position of deputy chief counsel.
Berns previously served as chief counsel to the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, overseeing civil legal matters for the Division of Law, the Division on Civil Rights, and the Division of Consumer Affairs. Before that, he served as both counsel and senior counsel to the attorney general.
