The New Jersey Supreme Court disbarred Young Min Kim on Nov. 14 after a complaint filed by the Small Business Association revealed to the Office of Attorney Ethics that he had been practicing law for nearly three-and-a-half years after being temporarily suspended.

According to a decision issued by the Disciplinary Review Board in June, Kim represented the Eastern American Certified Development Co., a New Jersey-based, U.S. Small Business Administration-certified development company, despite the fact that he was temporarily suspended by the court. In his 16 legal opinions issued since his 2016 temporary suspension, Kim certified that he was a licensed and active member, in good standing, of the New Jersey bar.
