Six Join Norris McLaughlin

Bridgewater-based Norris McLaughlin announced six new hires: a partner and two associates in its New Jersey office, and associate hires to its Allentown, Pennsylvania, and New York offices. The firm added partner Adam Cook and associates Julien M. Baumrin, Rocco L. Beltrami, Alyssa Christian, Vaughn Parchment and Emily J. Viret. "Adam brings a tremendous amount of mergers and acquisitions experience to the firm and this group of associates provides additional depth in litigation, corporate law, and real estate law across our footprint," firm chair David C. Roberts said in a statement. "We are pleased to welcome this team of attorneys to the firm as we continue to meet the needs of our clients."

Cook joins the business law practice group in New Jersey. He represents public and private companies in a wide range of matters including formation and financing activities, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt offerings, and general business and corporate governance matters. Cook received his J.D. from the Rutgers Law School, his B.A. from Occidental College and his M.A. from the University of Wisconsin.

Baumrin is an associate in the litigation group in New Jersey. He handles a variety of complex cases in state and federal courts in New Jersey and New York. Baumrin began his legal career with the New York City Law Department and served as a trial attorney in the Bronx Tort Unit. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers-Newark Law School and his B.A. from Haverford College.
