Attorney General Matthew Platkin announced the creation of a new office dedicated to prosecution of financial crimes, to be led by an experienced prosecutor, Assistant Attorney General Pablo Quiñones.

Quiñones will lead the Office of Securities Fraud and Financial Crimes Prosecutions (OSFFCP). According to a press release, the office has been tasked with a mission to enhance existing efforts to prosecute financial crimes that undermine the fairness and integrity of financial systems, exploit investors, and prey on vulnerable individuals.
