I read with pleasure the Law Journal Editorial Board’s “On the Value of Mediation” in the Jan. 9, 2023 New Jersey Law Journal.

As President of the New Jersey Council of Collaborative Practice Groups, I am writing to add that the Collaborative Process of Family Law, which was codified by the New Jersey Collaborative Family Law Act in 2014 (N.J.S.A. 2A:23D-1 to 18) and which is required to be explained to clients pursuant to New Jersey R. 5:4-2(h), is another widely utilized alternative to litigation.
