The New Jersey Senate passed the controversial Elections Transparency Act with a vote of 24-12 Monday, despite recent objections from senators on both sides of the aisle, the League of Women Voters, and the deputy director of the state’s Election Law Enforcement Commission, among others.

The ETA, a massive campaign finance bill, was scheduled to be presented on both the Senate and Assembly floors in late February, but was pulled at the last minute.
