The New Jersey judiciary is being asked to repeal a requirement that lawyers seeking admission to practice law in the state disclose any mental health issues and the treatment they receive.

The New Jersey State Bar Association and deans of Seton Hall and Rutgers law schools have called for the elimination of question 12B from the character and fitness application that must be filled out by those seeking bar admission.
