A taxi driver who suffered serious back and neck injuries when his vehicle was hit by a stolen paramedic vehicle settled his Bergen County suit, Hamed v. New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority, for $1.17 million on Jan. 19 and has been paid the majority of the proceeds.

Mohamed Hamed, now 60, was waiting to pick up passengers outside MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford after a concert on June 10, 2018, when he was struck by a sports utility vehicle that was stolen by an allegedly intoxicated woman.
