In his second day of testimony in the New Jersey Statehouse, Judge Glenn A. Grant, administrative director of the New Jersey courts, appeared before the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee and denied reports that he blamed either the Senate or the governor’s office for the ongoing judicial vacancy crisis.

Following Grant’s opening remarks, Sen. Paul A. Sarlo, D-Bergen and Passaic, posed a question about testimony given yesterday before the Assembly Budget Committee. Sarlo stated that the Senate received reports from the media that it was being blamed for judicial vacancies. Grant made clear that there was no intent, on his part or that of the judiciary, to point fingers at the Senate.
