Ruane Heads to Mandelbaum
Maureen A. Ruane, a former unit chief at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Jersey as well as a pharmaceutical industry in-house lawyer, joined Roseland's Mandelbaum Barrett as a partner in the health care, litigation and white collar criminal defense practices.
"Mandelbaum Barrett is an amazing firm that has been growing exponentially," Ruane said in a statement. "I look forward to working alongside the firm's top-notch, dedicated, collaborative, and helpful attorneys and staff who strive to help clients achieve optimal results in every instance."
At the U.S. Attorney's Office, Ruane was the first one to lead the Health Care & Government Fraud Unit, where she directed and supervised prosecutions of criminal and civil offenses. There she led successful prosecutors of more than 70 health-care fraud cases; obtained some 150 convictions; and helped the unit recover more than $510 million in settlements, judgments, fines, restitution, and forfeiture, according to the announcement.
