The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the nominations to fill six Superior Court judge vacancies, with three jurists selected for hardest-hit Vicinage 15, where all civil and matrimonial trials have been shut down since February.

Julie Kim, of Franklin Lakes, was nominated to succeed Judge Joseph Yannotti. Kim, a partner with Cohn Lifland Pearlman Herrmann & Knopf, has a practice focused in family law. Kim credited her immigrant parents with the inspiration of becoming a judge through their example of hard work and accomplishment.
