Millville Municipal Court Judge Jason Witcher stated in the suit that he "made the only decision he could to protect his health and prevent further damage to his reputation and tendered his resignation from all of the municipalities for which he served as a judge effective August 1, 2023, ending a 13-year judicial career."

Millville Municipal Court Judge Jason Witcher, who claimed discrimination against Latino defendants in his courtroom, has now filed a lawsuit in Superior Court against the state and the Administrative Office of the Courts, alleging retaliation and failure to accommodate under the Law Against Discrimination, and constructive discharge.
