A suspended New Jersey attorney pleaded guilty Monday to six counts of wire fraud and an additional six counts of aggravated identity theft in federal court in Pennsylvania, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced in a press release.

Scott Marinelli of Mountainside acted as a real estate broker and title agent, and directed a mortgage company to wire loan funds to him for the sale of properties. Marinelli admitted that, instead of dispersing the funds properly, he used the money for his own personal benefit, according to U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam.
