Former Pfizer Attorney Glass Joins Gibbons

Gibbons in Newark announced that Michele J. Glass joined the firm as a partner in the environmental group. She was previously corporate counsel in the environmental and sustainability law group at Pfizer, where she focused on the protection of employee health and safety, the community, and the environment. Previously she was with Cole Schotz and Riker Danzig.

Glass has nearly two decades of experience in all aspects of environmental law, the announcement said, including litigation, corporate and real estate transactions, regulatory matters, insurance, sustainability, and environmental justice considerations.

Glass has been active in the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy and Resources, serving three consecutive terms as co-chair of the In-House Counsel Committee, followed by a year as the committee's membership vice-chair, according to the announcement. She is currently serving in an at-large vice-chair capacity on that committee and as an additional vice chair for the section's Energy Committee. She also served in leadership positions for the New Jersey State Bar Association's Environmental Law Section, moving from director to chair while simultaneously co-chairing the section's Annual Environmental Law Forum. Glass is also a founding member of the NJSBA's Renewable Energy, Cleantech & Climate Change Sub-Committee.
