The edition, published by the New Jersey State Bar Association, features six articles on the many circumstances that trigger an investigation, including employee complaints, law enforcement action and inquiries from regulators. Nearly every organization has, at one time or another, faced the need to conduct, participate in or respond to an investigation, according to Susan L. Nardone, the special editor for the November issue. The edition aims to explore both the recent developments in the world of investigations and some truisms that transcend all investigations, she said.

The issue also includes practice tips on how attorneys can declutter their minds and stay focused, market their businesses and excel in motion practice. Retired Superior Court Judge Nelson Johnson, the acclaimed author of the book that inspired the HBO series "Boardwalk Empire," shares thoughts on how attorneys can write and argue better. NJSBA President Timothy F. McGoughran also reports on the Association's commitment to expanding access to justice in New Jersey.
